Whitening/Bleaching

Over time our teeth tend to become discolored or stained. Whether this is from smoking, coffee, or any other foods, a beautiful smile could be closer than you think. We offer a safe, inexpensive solution to an unsightly smile. Whitening your teeth is a very simple procedure that can be completed in relatively short period of time.

Procedures

Our office uses three different procesdures for whitening using Opalescence products.

Custom Fit Whitening Trays

We recommend this procedure for those who have a deeper , more involved discoloration.

The first step in the whitening process is impressions. We will take full impressions of your upper and lower teeth. These impressions will be made into custom bleaching trays. The trays will fit onto your teeth perfectly so there is a small possibility of gum damage from the bleaching solution.

The second step is to place the bleaching solution in the trays and wear them for a few hours a day. Within 7-10 days, you will see a significant improvement in the color of your teeth. Your smile will look brighter and younger. We will take before and after photos so that you will be able to compare the amazing transformation.

Opalescence Tre's white supreme

An innovative pre-loaded tray system in a prescription strenght only available through a dental office. This thin tray adheres for 60 minutes a day once a day. This option is more affordable than the custom fit trays and readily available for you at our office. It comes in flavors so that it even taste good! Each kit consist of ten pairs of trays.

In-Office X-Tra Boost

This adjunctive procedure is done to give your whitening a jumpstart and to be continued with either the custom fit trays or tre's white. The Xtra Boost whitening material does not need a light or laser to activate the whitening procedure. A mixture of its two components placed is activated and placed on the teeth.

The teeth and gums are isolated with a barrier to protect the gums while the whitening takes place. The time the material is left in place depends on the patients individual situation. Of all of the whitening procedures, this one is most likely to produce sensitive teeth and some gum damage from the whitening solution.

Bleaching only works on natural teeth and may not be effective in all cases. We will inform you as to the potential whitening for your specific situation.
